Description

State the thread depth (in mm) of the tyre.

Tread depth measurement is accomplished by using a metric or imperial tread depth gauge which is commercially available through many automotive supply facilities.

Measure the tread depth at the center of the tread with the depth gauge.

The tire may wear unevenly therefore it is best to take measurements at several places and compute the average tread depth.
