Short description
Direction of the resulting force vector. This direction is identical with the resulting momentum (v*m).
Values
Whole number [deg]
Description
The Principle Direction Of Force (PDOF) shows the direction of the Delta V (DV) total [km/h] during the impact.
This direction is the same as the direction of the change of momentum during the impact (delta V * m) and is equivalent to the integral over the contact forces during the impact time.
The change of momentum has the same magnitude for both collision partners but the opposite direction. It is zero in positive longitudinal direction (x-axis). Anticlockwise directions are coded as positive values for the angle.
