Description
State the AADT for the road involved in the investigation.
The average annual daily traffic (AADT) is an estimation of the number of vehicles traveling on a road during a 24-hour period. The year is divided into 103 periods and for a given road section, the traffic flow is measured during four of these periods. A period can include weekdays, weekends or a combination of both. A total AADT is then estimated from these results according to specified statistical methods. The AADT is a measure of how heavily trafficked a road is.
