Description
The separation strip type is the design of the separation strip between the roadway and the bicycle lane.
There are three different types:
- None
- There is no separation strip.
- In-level
- The separation strip is the same level as the roadway and bicycle lane.
- Elevated
- The separation strip is elevated by e.g. a kerb and is higher than the roadway and bicycle lane.
- Lowered area
- The separation strip is lowered by e.g. a ditch or just an interruption of the pavement and is lower than the roadway and bicycle lane.
