Description
State the condition of the PTW front brake material.
(OECD RS9/TEG/ 151 information)
The following guidelines should be used to determine brake condition and wear.
- Good Condition
The brake system is in good operating condition and the friction surfaces show signs of use with the friction surface wear thickness.
- Severe wear < 1mm friction material
The brake system is no longer in operating condition due to excessive wear of the friction surfaces beyond the original design service limit (typically less than 1 mm left on the friction surface) and damage to the components of the operating system.
